Storm

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 8:49 pm by bizarrerhymes

When the storm breaks,
You’ll hear the crashing of the thunder,
And the lightening will strike
To the beating of your heart.

The tension’s building as a cloud puts you in shadow.
The sun has faded like the love you had for her.
Her talking and her eyes,
Tell you nothing is going to change now.
As the sun goes in,
It’s only then you realize.

You find you’re walking, as the last bus leaves the station.
You feel it’s pouring like a shower on your heart,
And as the tears start to roll
Taste the salt and feel the breeze,
While the blue turns to grey,
Then the storm will take it’s toll.

When the storm breaks,
You’ll hear the crashing of the thunder,
And the lightening will strike
A bolt to the middle of your heart.
