Serendipity

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 8:23 pm by bizarrerhymes

An unexpected time and place
And through the wine and smoke your face
A beat I hear recalls it all,
Not liked by me, some east coast drawl.
I reflect on your rolled-gold necklace.

I represent my people’s ways
Tomorrow I’ll shed off some rays
When I hope I’ll surprise you then
We’ll use all the time like it’s today’s.

Maggie aim your thoughts
Don’t subtract leaving nought.
I’m calling soon I’ll get my room
You are still being sought.

Some future day you will depart
Please say nothing it’ll break my heart.
Perhaps since that day it might all change
A malcontent who seeks revenge
Then seek my soul in ‘Exchange and Mart’

The plane arrives on frozen runway
I can’t keep still but it’s not blues.
Will I appear to be a castaway
The hand I see has a silver glow.

Take them in whatever state
But don’t reject the meat that keeps you alive.
Because if you do you’re going to break
The back that holds the meat to keep you alive.

I’ve been driven to distraction
By that, that helps me survive.
If it wasn’t for the finely balanced scales
I’d be like a lion but with no pride.

Take them in whatever state
But don’t reject the meat that keeps you alive.
Because if you do you’re going to break
The back that holds the meat to keep you alive.

A piece of paper might tell a story
The plot might hatch, harden, happy
If the hedgehogs can carry it off
With the ticks, the tricks, the toughs and the Muffs.
