April

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 8:46 pm by bizarrerhymes

April, you surprise me
The lambing snows have left
And the lemon-green grass is wet
Wet sunlight heavy on the dew
All the world sweats with the bead of summer in it’s bud
All the world waits with baited breath for you

Blown bubble film of blue
The sky wraps ’round my head of yew
The birds fly ’round my hair
