Song For Superstition

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 5:56 pm by bizarrerhymes

How goes the Christmas song
Now well past the twelfth day
Have you let yourself in for bad luck this year?
Is the fir tree yet growing in the garden?

The birdies twitter for their mates again
What makes you think that spring is here?
It’s the water, the sun, the dew that’s clear.

Out come the snowdrops and dandelions
The leaves begin to bud
But just when life is looking good
We get minus 29c.
