Song For Superstition

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 5:56 pm by bizarrerhymes

How goes the Christmas song
Now well past the twelfth day
Have you let yourself in for bad luck this year?
Is the fir tree yet growing in the garden?

The birdies twitter for their mates again
What makes you think that spring is here?
It’s the water, the sun, the dew that’s clear.

Out come the snowdrops and dandelions
The leaves begin to bud
But just when life is looking good
We get minus 29c.

Blue and White

Posted in Poetry/Lyrics at 9:14 pm by bizarrerhymes

Blue and white
Blue and white
Blue and white
And then one day some
Blue and grey.

Blue and white
Blue and white
Blue and white
And from the darkness
Came the light.

Cotton white on litmus blue.
Drops of ink in water skew
Watch the pattern
Changing nature
While the colours
Change the world.

See before you fifty fathoms,
Mountain ranges climb above,
Scarlet, crimson, violet ripples,
Sail on purple indigo.

Blue and white
Blue and white
Blue and white
And then one day some
Blue and grey.
